As we heard the stories, Titans agains Zeus and Rostam against Sohrab (Google it, the story matters) sometimes it is the son defeating their fathers and sometimes it the fathers killing their sons.
It seems after the Renaissance, western nations started to disobeying their father and conquering their world. This is not the case for many eastern countries like Iran that fathers are still ruling and dictating their terms and killing any son that do not obey.
The scoiety won’t accept you and allow you to grow if you don’t carefully follow your father’s footsteps (metaphorically speaking), the new generations become weaken by this cruelity and loosing the chance to rise against the dictators.
The only way to cure this malfunctioning loop, generations after generations, is to support the children by powerful stories that they can belive, and to teach them to queation the authority and follow their passions…Yes there will be blood but this is the path to salvation.
A point on the metaphore, the metaphore I used was from the older stories, so maybe a little bit sexist maybe but I think the point is clear.
